Spring is coming right up and that means unpredictable weather capable of producing damaging winds, thunderstorms, flooding and tornadoes. The Ohio Dept. of Insurance, Lt. Gov., Mary Taylor said that people may want to review their need for flood insurance. There is a 30 day waiting period before coverage becomes effective. Flood insurance IS NOT included in a typical homeowner's and renter's policy. It is made available by a federal program and is purchased through an insurance agent. This is also a good time to check with your agent if coverage for damage caused by a sewer or drain back up is available and if it can be added to your policy. Most of our homeowner's and renter's policy include the coverage of sewer and drain back up. Please call to check if you aren't sure if you have this important coverage.
